My advice: "If Mama ain't happy, ain't NOBODY happy"

Put another way: "Happy Wife, happy life"

No one can advise you on a couple of paragraphs, but if I am understanding this scenario correctly, are you saying that you frequently back of plans to do other things with other people?

If so, your wife may be testing you to see if you are really going to follow through here. Why not double down and convince her that you two are gonna have the best weekend ever, and then follow through on it?

Everyone has to have their circle of friends, and do stuff with those friends, but we all have to be careful that we do not put our most important friend on the old shoe rack.

Some people expend more time and effort in their relationships with their friends than their families, and in particular, their spouses. It is easy to take them for granted some times because they are always there, but we must force ourselves out of a comfort zone and make sure that they feel important from time to time. It will pay dividends, I promise you.
