Unfortunately, he probably won't get in the game against 6'7" guys

It is not a coincidence that he got inserted into the game at the exact same time as Austin Peay's true freshman 7 footer, Cucak. That dude was a stiff and was a defensive assignment that Huff could easily handle.

If ACC teams want Huff out of the game they will simply play small. He will almost definitely not be able to handle powerful or quick 6'7" to 6'9" post players. He did just fine against Austin Peay's 6'8" or so post player, but you will notice that they went right at him thinking he might be the weak link defensively. And ACC posts are gonna be different than Austin Peay's posts.

That often happened to Tobey. Tobey played his best when he played against other 7 footers. He even sort of dominated Alex Len as a true freshman. But against a team like Michigan State, he only got a total of 22 minutes in two games because they weren't a great matchup for him. In his last four games against Virginia Tech (who always play small since Buzz has been the coach) as an upperclassman, Tobey only played a total of 37 minutes (9.25 average per game).

When James Johnson was the coach and wasn't necessarily going to attack Tobey offensively, Tobey played 48 minutes in two games as a sophomore (24 average per game).

Bennett is very much a match-up coach, and Jay Huff is an interesting piece that will be used to great effect when it makes sense, but other times he will hardly be used at all.

Should be fun listening to people complain all year long, not understanding that certain teams will be bad match-ups for Huff defensively, and Bennett does not want to give up easy layups or offensive rebound put-backs, no matter how nice Huff's 3 point stroke looks.
