Don't quite follow

Is there a difference between cheating the game on the field (Black Sox, Pete Rose, recent use of Apple Watch to relay stolen signs) and gaming a system that everyone is gaming albeit to a greater extent and being the ones that got caught? I think it's a major difference. MLB is not a single sanction organization. Let's not forget that Jim Bowden was actually stealing money from these young international kids and now he's a paid ESPN analyst. Yeah Cardinals guy broke federal law, do we really think he acted alone though? The IFA rules are totally bogus and intentionally vague. The think the analogy here is when Selig "found out" everyone was using steroids then decided to punish people. I think the Braves punishments were fair, just don't think it's right to punish only them when this has been going on for years with other organizations too. No love lost for Coppy, he's always been nice to me but made a lot of enemies throughout baseball.
