I know I speak for all of us that played at UVA between '83 and '87---how incredibly proud we are of Bill Narleski's induction into the HOF's inaugural class. Nar wasn't just a terrific player, he was the consummate teammate. He treated everybody the same---whether you were a major contributor or a seldom used walk-on. He worked harder at his craft than anybody else, he loved the game, respected our opponents and bleeds orange and blue to this day. Kudos to the committee for all of their selections (it's a great induction class), but I especially wanted them to know they got this one right! Looking forward to my first 'Step Up to the Plate' in January. Wouldn't miss it for the world!
