Agree with Blah, but I doubt it will ever happen.
You aren't taking away opportunities, just giving more softball players or T&F athletes opportunities. The way scholarships are broken up in other sports it could be 2-4x as many kids that benefit from at least a 25% ride.
But here's the problem. You would be taking away full scholarships in a sport with a much higher minority participation rate than any other, especially for women. Right or wrong, it would be seen as taking scholarships from african american girls and giving them to more white girls.
