Do you have a third party vendor who can do it?

They're probably cheaper than $100 too.

But I wouldn't consider it an issue of what the phone is worth now. Assuming the battery fixes the problem (which I don't know if it will), are you content with your phone for several more years? If so, what the phone is worth now is irrelevant. It's still cheaper to pay $100 to fix it than buy a new phone for $500+.
