Express Lanes Pricing at a Glance

The Express Lanes use dynamic pricing to manage the flow of traffic and keep you moving
Roadside equipment monitors traffic and toll prices periodically adjust to maintain free-flowing travel
As traffic increases, the toll price goes up to manage demand and keep traffic moving at highway speeds
You will see signs in advance of Express Lanes entry points letting you know the price to travel in the lanes. When you pass under a pricing sign, you lock in your toll rate until the last exit shown on the sign
When you are traveling on the 95 Express Lanes you might see overhead pricing signs. These signs display the costs to travel to exits farther down the road. When you see a sign like this, you decide if you want to pay an additional toll to continue on the Express Lanes or exit back to the regular lanes. Learn more about pricing on the 95 Express Lanes
Because toll prices are based on demand, it is difficult to predict exactly what toll prices will be at any given time:
On the Express Lanes tolls can range from as low as $0.20 per mile during less busy times, and up to approximately $1.00 per mile in some sections during rush hour.*

*Toll rates may rise significantly above the stated typical range for periods of time in the event of unusually heavy congestion or a specific event like a traffic accident or lane(s) closure.
