I said this the other night: there are no "ACC refs". There are refs hired

by the ACC who also work other conferences. Heck, Jamie Luckie was doing the Radford-Liberty game last night, for God's sake. The three guys we had Sunday night, two mostly work in the SEC and the other in the Big East.

Our won-lost percentage with the best known "ACC refs", such as Mike Eades and Roger Ayers, is lower than average, not because they are biased, but they tend to work the bigger games.

If the refs are biased in any way, I would assume that they have come to understand that Virginia plays good, fundamental defense and they may be subconsciously giving our guys the benefit of the doubt. But to watch two fouls get called on Jack Salt in the first 5 minutes of each game, that's hard to imagine.
