- Linebacker
- Class of 2004
- Little Rock, AR (Pulaski Academy)
- 6-3, 235 lbs
- Status: LSU Commit
Notes:
Stoltz only participated in seven games his junior season due to a broken ankle. He suffered the injury just before the beginning of his junior season. In seven games, he tallied 103 tackles including 11 tackles-for-loss and four sacks. Projected as a middle linebacker in college, Stoltz is perhaps the top player in the state of Arkansas.
Coach Kelly: "Matt has lots of things coaches look for. He runs well. In fact, I think he runs better when playing linebacker. He has a nose for the ball, and gets to the ball very quickly. He punishes players, whether it is a receiver coming across the middle or a running back."
