Notes: Nate Lyles plays strong safety for Hubbard, which also features outstanding linebacker Chris Patterson. Lyles has the speed and versatility to play either safety or cornerback in college.

As a senior, Lyles earned first-team all-state by the Chicago Tribune. He made 89 tackles and had five interceptions, two of which were returned for a touchdown. On offense, Lyles finished with 10 touchdowns.

Nate also earned Chicago Sun-Times All-City honors. Former Robeson High School Head Coach Roy Curry said this about Lyles in a Chicago Sun-Times piece.

"Nate Lyles is one of the best safeties that has played in Chicago, and there is not anybody who is not aware of where he is on the field," said city football coordinator Roy Curry, a former Robeson coach and NFL player.
