Robert Byrd

Notes: Byrd made 30 receptions last season as a junior.

Head coach Eric Henderson: "Robert Byrd is probably one of the best athletes in our school. He plays basketball. He is a 400-meter sprinter. He does the high jump and the long jump. As far as being a great athlete, he is probably the best I've seen. Football-wise, we had a kid last year that caught 60 balls and had a great career. Robert kind of took a back seat to him, but he is now starting to step up and take a leadership role. He is starting to learn how to run routes better. He is long at about 6-3, 170 pounds. He really just started lifting weights this past off-season. He can jump through the gym. Speed-wise, he always runs just fast enough to beat his guy."
