Notes: Smith tallied 25 receptions for 460 yards and eight touchdowns last season as a junior. A top performer on special teams, he totaled four punt-return touchdowns in 2007.

Head coach Rich Morgan: "Tim Smith probably will be our most highly recruited player. He is the only receiver that comes back for us. Of the four receivers we had [in 2007], he is the fastest and most explosive. [In 2008], it will be his turn to be the center piece of the offense. He has a bunch of interest and I think he'll get a lot of offers. When I sent out film of other kids last year, a lot of people wanted to know who he was. He has a chance to be as good as Kerry [Boykins] and Todd [Harrelson]. With his speed, he is electric."
