Notes: After graduating from Varina in June of 2012, Chavis enrolled at Fork Union Military Academy for a postgraduate year. Chavis attended Blue Ridge School his sophomore year before transferring back to Varina before the start of his junior season. He started at defensive tackle and offensive tackle for the Blue Devils in 2010. Virginia is recruiting him initially as a defensive tackle, but he has potential as an offensive guard as well in college. Chavis racked up 14 sacks his senior season, earning first-team all-metro honors at defensive tackle. ESPN.com ranks Chavis as a 3-star prospect and the no. 48 offensive guard in the country.
