In the final month before Signing Day, recruits all across the country are preparing for their final decisions. It’s no different for outstanding 5-star tailback Toney Baker , who may announce his decision several weeks before the February 2nd Signing Day. Baker had originally wanted to announce his choice during the Army All-American game on January 15th, but whether he will do that or not is in question right now according to his father.
“It’s definitely 110% up in the air right now,” said Baker’s father, Tony Baker. “He’s thinking about doing it. And honestly, if he didn’t I wouldn’t be upset.”
Baker has made one official visit – he went to N.C. State the first weekend in December. If he doesn’t announce his decision on January 15th, he may decide to take additional official visits. Though 5 schools remain in the race for his services, 3 may be the most likely to get visits if he decides to take them.
“UVa, North Carolina and Virginia Tech are the schools he’d probably visit,” Mr. Baker said. “He’s been to Tennessee a few times, so I don’t think he would need to go there.”
