2005 Recruiting War Room #10: Down the Stretch

Overview

Despite recent events, UVa still has a terrific class in place. If the Cavaliers can get some things going their way, they can finish out strong. Including Branden Albert and Olu Hall , UVa now has 22 verbal commitments in this year’s class. Darryl Gresham has “officially” de-committed while Brandon Woods , who was supposed to visit South Carolina this weekend, has reaffirmed his verbal to the ‘Hoos after South Carolina wanted him to reschedule his visit to January 28th.

UVa would love to get four or five more players (including Gresham) in this year’s class. While news has not been positive in recent days (with the exception of Woods firming up his commitment), there are still almost three weeks until Signing Day and the coaches will be working very hard on the recruiting trail.

If UVa can hold onto the above prospects and close with commitments from several targets, then Cavalier fans will have a lot to be excited about. The remaining targets UVa is involved with are listed below.
