Chris Horne revealed The Sabre’s Pre-Summer Virginia Top 30 this week with Tyrod Taylor taking the No. 1 spot. Chris is next up in the Sabre’s “Why or Why Not?” series where we present several statements to an expert and, in true or false style, they tell us why it will happen or why it won’t. Chris tackles tough questions on Taylor, Russell Wilson , Jamar Jackson, and offensive linemen.

CHRIS: Yes, and here’s why …

Virginia Tech’s coaching staff made Tyrod Taylor their number one and only priority at quarterback in this year’s recruiting class, something he has not taken lightly. He also has a good relationship with the coaches. There were serious rumblings that he was going to commit to the Hokies this month. In this case, I think where there is smoke there is fire. He will make a visit to Florida, but I don’t think Urban Meyer and company will be able to lure him in. I see Tyrod committing to Tech next month.

Both Virginia and Virginia Tech are after offensive linemen in this year’s class, which is good for them since you have 5 of the big guys ranked in your top 13. All 5 of those players will sign with one of the two in-state schools.

Andrew Nuss is one of UVa’s top targets in this class.
