Of UVa’s 19 commitments in the 2007 recruiting class, six are definitely projected for the offensive side of the ball. Three more – Andrew Devlin , Anthony Mihota , Chase Minnifield – project on offense but could potentially end up on defense. These kids are listed as athletes for the sake of this article and we’ll go into their possible positions later in the piece.

The staff has compiled some talented and highly sought after recruits for offense up to this point in the recruiting process. You have to start with four-star West Springfield signal caller Peter Lalich , who is one of the jewels of the 2007 class so far. But it doesn’t end there. The staff has landed another four-star recruit in WR/DB Chase Minnifield . RB Max Milien is a player the staff has liked since the summer of 2006. Andrew Devlin , a TE/OL/DE out of Pittsburgh (PA), is rated a four-star recruit by Scout.com. You add athletic TE Mark Ambrose , WR Kris Burd , OL Brad Hallick and OL/DL Anthony Mihota and you have a good start on the offensive side of the ball.

Counting down to Signing Day 2007, there certainly are several areas the staff has to continue to recruit. Specifically, offensive line and wide receiver are the primary areas targeted for the remaining spots.
