Commentary

Jared Green is likely the final commit to UVa’s ’07 class

It appears that the commitment of Oakton wide receiver Jared Green will very likely be the final commitment for the 2007 class. There are of course recruited walk-ons, but, speaking in terms of kids who have scholarship offers, UVa appears to be finished barring any surprises or last minute changes.

There are certain situations to monitor, however. They are the situations of OLB Romale Tucker and WR Vincent Hill . Both players made official visits to UVa last weekend and, according to sources, both had excellent experiences.

Tucker, the 6-4, 210-pound prospect who played his senior season at Ballou (Washington, D.C.), recently transferred to Milford Academy in New York. He committed to UVa last September and his roommate from last weekend’s visit, Mark Ambrose , believed he was still committed the ‘Hoos last weekend. But Tucker is still considering Syracuse and he is also deciding whether or not to sign a letter of intent with either school on Wednesday. The situation remains fluid, so check back on signing day to see what happens.

Hill’s situation remains extremely fluid as well. The 5-10, 175-pound prospect was considering a transfer from Friendly High School (Fort Washington, MD) to Milford Academy. Today, Friendly assistant coach Marcus Berry told TheSabre.com that Hill likely will not go to Milford and will instead finish out at Friendly or perhaps another high school in the area.
