Beach Camp: Davis, Manuel, Whaley Impress

Marcus Davis

Coaches from Boston College, Clemson, Maryland, Stanford, Tennessee, Virginia (Bob Price and Mike London) and Virginia Tech, among about 20 others, were in attendance for yesterday’s first Virginia Beach Football Camp. The Beach is filled with talent this year and all of its star prospects – with the exception of Landstown’s Xavier Boyce , who was injured – were on display.

(Note: Yesterday was the camp, in which players performed drills for about two hours or so. There were running back, quarterback, wide receiver, linemen and linebacker drills. Virginia Beach put together a combine last month in which players did the 40, 20-yard shuttle, vertical and 185-pound bench press. College coaches are not allowed to be at combines that do those tests, which is why they ran the combine separate from this camp.)
