Chris Long is slated to be the starting right defensive end for the St. Louis Rams this season.

Chris Long is just letting it all soak in.

The two months since Long was selected by the St. Louis Rams with the No. 2 overall pick in the NFL Draft have been a whirlwind for the former Virginia All-American Defensive End. Amongst all the changes, it has taken a while for the reality to hit him said Long.

“It kind of slowly hits you because at first you get drafted and that’s crazy and you show up for work and that’s when it hits you quicker, when you see the vets in the locker room,” Long said. “I walk by Trent Green in the locker room and I’m like ‘wow’. It’s pretty surreal.”
