Chad Gaudet has won 173 face-offs and scooped 96 ground balls this season for UVa.

Virginia suits up in the Final Four this weekend for the 11th time in Dom Starsia’s 17 seasons at the helm. While the final weekend of NCAA men’s lacrosse could be considered a figurative home for the Cavaliers, only one player can truly call the trip to Foxborough a literal homecoming.

Chad Gaudet, the Hoos’ face-off specialist, grew up in Massachusetts before playing football and lacrosse at Dartmouth as an undergraduate. In his only year in the orange and blue, Gaudet gets a chance to return to his roots and play at least one game in Gillette Stadium, the home field of his favorite New England Patriots.
