Chris Brathwaite ‘s recruiting card
Holy Cross (Flushing, N.Y.) star Chris Brathwaite was recruited by the former Virginia staff as an outside linebacker. New Cavaliers head coach Mike London envisions the 6-1, 260-pound senior at a different position, but one that Brathwaite was very successful playing this season.
“I’m coming in as a rush defensive end,” said Brathwaite, who spoke with London last Wednesday. London is moving to a 4-3 defensive set from Al Groh’s 3-4.
“It didn’t matter. Defensive line is what I’m used to, so it’s what I’m comfortable with. I think I could’ve done some good things at linebacker, but it doesn’t matter.”
