Lee Singer and Houston Barrick hold the trophy after the Hoos won the ITA indoors title.

Throughout the past three years, the Virginia men’s tennis team has had its fair share of superstars. Even the casual fan could name, or at least recognize, Somdev Devvarman, Dom Inglot, and, more recently, Michael Shabaz. Singer and his senior co-captain Houston Barrick are the team’s anchors in the singles line-up. Barrick plays in the No. 5 spot, while Singer holds the sixth and final slot. Their level of experience at the bottom of the line-up gives Virginia an edge on the competition because the duo has seen many different situations and faced plenty of tough matches.
