Monday morning, Newton (Covington, GA) head coach Cortez Allen had a good idea of which school star senior D.J. Hill was favoring.
“When he came to school on Monday, he had Virginia gear on from head to toe,” Allen said. “That generated a lot of buzz — within the school and the community — about him maybe going there.”
Hill, a 6-1, 220-pound prospect, took an official visit to the University of Virginia last weekend, over two months after making an unofficial trip. Obviously, he liked what he saw in Charlottesville.
“He officially committed tonight,” Hill’s mother, Angie Greer, said. Her son spoke directly with first-year head coach Mike London Wednesday evening.
