An impressive group of 2012 class prospects, including over 10 in-state recruits with offers from the University of Virginia, will be on hand tomorrow for the Orange-Blue spring football game. Whether or not the Cavaliers will be able to add commitments remains to be seen, but certainly tomorrow represents an opportunity to impress some top targets.

Green Run (Virginia Beach, VA) linebacker/safety Mark Hall , UVa’s lone commit so far in the 2012 class, likely will attend. Most, if not all, of Virginia’s heralded 2011 class should be there as well. For now, here is more on the 2012 front…

Prospects UVa has offered

Oscar Smith (Chesapeake, VA) star junior J.C. Coleman may not have great size, but he is a dynamic and versatile running back prospect. The 5-7, 170-pound Coleman reported this morning that he has accumulated eight scholarship offers in total, including Duke, Florida International, Maryland, Old Dominion, Vanderbilt, Virginia, Virginia Tech and West Virginia.

Bayside (Virginia Beach, VA) standout Anthony Cooper has potential at wide receiver and safety, but offense is where the Cavaliers are recruiting him to play. The 6-0, 180-pound junior, who is also creeping up on double-digit offers, has Boston College, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Virginia and Virginia Tech on his offer list.

With Coleman and Cooper, Mike London and company look to continue recent success at Oscar Smith and Bayside. Rising junior running back Perry Jones and rising red-shirt sophomore wide receiver Tim Smith starred for head coach Rich Morgan’s Tigers, while rising red-shirt freshman linebacker Henry Coley and incoming freshman cornerback Demetrious ‘Trey’ Nicholson starred at Bayside for Darnell Moore.
