Swanson’s Club Eyes Sustained Success

Eleven seasons at the helm of Virginia’s women’s soccer program has provided coach Steve Swanson with tremendous perspective. While others may lament the graduation of a record-breaking class including the outstanding goal-scoring duo of Meghan Lenczyk and Sinead Farrelly, Swanson focuses fully on the season ahead.

“I think it’s a great opportunity for some of our younger players to step up,” says Swanson. “It wasn’t too long ago that Megan and Sinead were young and inexperienced and look what they’ve done. I feel good about the players we have returning.”
