UVa Impresses Tobey And Family

Blair Academy (N.J.) senior center Mike Tobey turned 17 earlier in October. The 6’11”, 230-pound Tobey, a Virginia commit since January of 2011, celebrated his birthday by making an official visit to his future school last weekend. To say the weekend went well would be an understatement.

Mike Tobey “absolutely loved” his visit to UVa last weekend

“I’ll tell you what. Virginia is a class organization,” said Ken Tobey, Mike’s father. Mike is at his new school and was unavailable for comment. “Myself, my wife, my high school daughter…we went on the trip to check everything out. All four of Virginia’s 2012 class commitments were in Charlottesville last weekend. The quartet spent much of the weekend together, while the parents got to know each other.

“Michael and Evan (Nolte) and Justin (Anderson) and Teven (Jones) all stayed in one hotel. I know they were kept together the entire time,” Ken Tobey said. “I thought that was good, because it gave ’em more of a taste
