UVa will host at least two class of 2013 targets in the coming week, including Good Counsel (Olney, MD) junior quarterback Brendan Marshall . Read the latest on Marshall, who is a heavy UVa lean, as well as an offensive line prospect expected to be in Charlottesville next weekend.

Commitment Coming?

The University of Virginia men’s football program likely won’t have to wait much longer for its first commitment in the 2013 recruiting class. UVa is the strong favorite for Good Counsel (Olney, MD) quarterback Brendan Marshall , who will be in Charlottesville this coming Wednesday for an unofficial visit. The 6’5″, 210-pound junior has strongly favored the Hoos since attending Virginia’s February 25 junior day.

In an interview the week following the February 25 recruiting event, Marshall said: “Definitely, Virginia’s my top right now. I’ve talked to them a lot. I’m going to go up and see them again over Spring Break, and I’ve actually talked about giving them a verbal then.”

Marshall decided not to wait until Good Counsel’s Spring Break, which takes place in early April, to make the follow-up visit. And making a commitment while on this next visit is “the most likely scenario,” Marshall wrote via text message.

The Falcons boast a top group of prospects in the class of 2013. UVa has already offered seven Good Counsel rising seniors, including Marshall, cornerback Kendall Fuller , defensive back Kirk Garner , defensive back Calvin Jones, wide receiver Andre Levrone, linebacker Marcel Ngachie and linebacker Dorian O’Daniel .
