There is no question that social media is a major part of today’s recruiting world. So when talented in-state high school junior Jamil Kamara listed the University of Virginia as his college on his Facebook page, people noticed. Is there anything to it?

“I had Oregon, but I don’t like them too much anymore,” said Kamara, a junior wide receiver out of Bishop Sullivan (Virginia Beach, VA). “When Taquan (Mizzell) committed (to UVa), he’s a friend of mine and I was in a good mood, so I decided to do it.”

What other schools are being seriously considered?

“(Virginia) Tech is still a good school with me. But I’m not only looking in-state,” said Kamara, who mentioned Clemson, Miami, North Carolina and
