UVa Commits React To Big Visit Weekend
The majority of Virginia’s class of 2014 were on Grounds last weekend. Most were making official visits and a few – athlete Jeffery Farrar and wide receiver Jamil Kamara – were on unofficials. Safety Quin Blanding, Farrar and outside linebacker/defensive end Jordan Jackson took some time to reflect on the experience.
5-star safety Quin Blanding enjoyed the weekend, but more than anything he is excited for next season. And he feels many of the players have a positive outlook as well.
“We’re very excited on both sides of the ball,” Blanding said. “We feel like we’ve found the missing pieces and we’re going to go out and put ‘em together. The defense will be solid. The offense will be solid. We’re excited.”
The 6’2″, 210-pound Under Armour All-American reflected on the camaraderie among recruits and players during his official visit last weekend.
“We committed there for a reason. We’re there. We said ‘yes’ to [Coach London] and he said ‘yes’ to us. It’s time to grind. Let’s go get it. And being around the players again was great. I know them. It was all fun and games [last weekend],” said Blanding, whose host was Demetrious Nicholson. “It just felt good to be back.”
