Polk Set For Important Round Of Visits

Grant Polk doesn’t plan on waiting too long to make his college choice. With that in mind, Polk, who will graduate from Charlotte High School (Punta Gorda, FL) this December, will take to the recruiting trail in the coming weeks.

“I’m going to a bunch of camps this summer, to some of the places I haven’t been to and some of the places I have been to,” said Polk, a 6’6”, 290-pound offensive line prospect. “I plan to make my decision by the end of July. Or maybe mid-July or earlier… you never know. That’s what I’m planning, but you never know.”

Polk isn’t sure of the exact date, but he will attend camp at the University of Virginia, which extended a scholarship offer earlier this month. He has been in the Commonwealth before but has never been on Grounds.

“Everything I’ve heard is really good, academics and football-wise,” Polk said of UVa. “Virginia has been a school I definitely have paid attention to. They didn’t have a great season last year, but I still like ‘em.”
