Sabre Scoop: EYBL Notes Part 2

Jerome Impresses In First EYBL Circuit Stop

Despite dealing with a strained hip flexor, 6’4″ combo guard Ty Jerome played in all four games at this past week’s Nike EYBL stop in Hampton, Virginia. The Iona Prep (New Rochelle, NY) junior, a Virginia commit, helped the PSA Cardinals to a 3-1 record, averaging 9.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.2 assists and one steal per game. Jerome made 11 of 25 field goals, including four out of 10 3s. He knocked down 12 of his 15 free throw attempts and had only two turnovers in the four games.

“Really well,” Jerome said when asked on Saturday how he felt he and his team were stacking up in the first leg of the EYBL circuit. Jerome played on the Under Armour AAU circuit last year. “I think we’re doing really well.”

Recruiting analysts and scouts weighed in with their thoughts on Jerome.
