After scoring just three points on 1-of-5 shooting in the first wave of games at the 2017 NBPA Top 100 Camp, Brimmer and May (Chestnut Hill, MA) 4-star shooting guard AJ Reeves’ trademark sweet outside shooting stroke was on full display in game two.

Reeves, a 6’6” rising senior, poured in 20 points on 8-of-11 shooting (4-of-5 from beyond the arc) as he helped his Spurs team (which also features fellow UVA target Keldon Johnson) defeat the Immanuel Quickley-led Bulls, 81-71. At one point Reeves scored 11 straight points — three 3s (all swishes) and one breakaway dunk — in the win.

“I was hitting,” Reeves said following last night’s performance. “I saw it go in the hole one time, and from there it just seemed I couldn’t miss. That’s always a great feeling.”

Citing a good bond with the coaches and a favorable impression from an unofficial visit he made to Charlottesville last June, Reeves includes the Cavaliers in his final four schools. He discussed recruiting and more at the conclusion of Day 1 at the Top 100 Camp.
