Virginia football’s quarterback position was a giant question mark following the 2017 season. The good news following the Military Bowl was that the Hoos were welcoming two promising quarterbacks to the fold in January of 2018 – Brennan Armstrong, who enrolled after graduating from Shelby High School (OH), and Bryce Perkins, a transfer from Arizona Western College who began his collegiate career with Arizona State.
The dynamic Perkins won the job and excelled, establishing himself as one of the top dual-threat quarterbacks in the nation while helping the Cavaliers to an 8-5 record and a Belk Bowl championship. He is back for his final year of college eligibility, instilling confidence that the Hoos could be in store for another level of success in 2019.
