At the conclusion of Virginia football’s Wednesday morning (August 12) fall camp practice, assistant coach Clint Sintim spoke highly of his group of defensive linemen, who along with the rest of the Cavaliers are working hard in the face of uncertainty regarding the fall football season – the Big 10 and Pac 12 conferences have canceled their fall seasons, while, for now, the ACC, SEC, and Big 12 are staying the course and planning to play.

“I thought the energy was really good today,” Sintim said. “I think overall we’ve got a good group of guys, learning the culture every day. Right now what I see is guys coming here every day, working hard and trying to get better. We’re just going to keep pushing forward, try to make the best of our situation, and then hope for the best.”

“We’re all doing what we love, and until we hear otherwise that’s what we’re going to keep doing. We’re going to keep marching away,” Sintim added.

A 2009 graduate of the University of Virginia, Sintim played outside linebacker for the Cavaliers under head coach Al Groh. He starred at Gar-Field High School in Woodbridge, Virginia, before taking his talents to UVA, where he played in 49 games and produced 245 tackles including 46 tackles for loss and 29 sacks. The latter numbers rank third and second in school history.
