Clearly, the Virginia baseball team did not do itself any favors by dropping a weekend home series to NC State. Whether that deserved an 8-point drop in the polls by D1 Baseball, considering the Pack has defeated North Carolina, Duke, Clemson, and Virginia this season is suspect. But I digress.

Here are three things on the Hoos after the latest ACC series.

Virginia Postseason Outlook

For the Hoos, the possibility of earning a top 8 seed in the NCAA Tournament is not out of the question but will likely require a sweep of Virginia Tech this weekend and an ACC Tournament title. Doing so would likely place UVA with a 7-10 seed range. So, even by winning the next seven games it might not happen. A series win over Tech and a win or two in Charlotte should lock the Hoos into a 12-15 seed range and NCAA Regional hosting slot.
