Virginia Goes Into Super Regional Firing On All Cylinders

Since Brian O’Connor took hold of the reins of the Virginia Cavaliers program in 2004, pitching and defense have been key elements of the baseball program’s success. If this is your first season watching the Hoos, then you might be wondering about that statement and your skepticism would be warranted.

This season, UVA pitching has recorded some of its weakest pitching numbers under O’Connor. Below are the national rankings thus far in 2024.
