ORLANDO, Fla. – The Virginia basketball team advanced to the round of 32 in the NCAA Tournament for the fourth straight season with its win against UNC Wilmington. That also pushed the Hoos to their 23rd win for the fifth straight year, a program record.

That’s the new model of consistency under coach Tony Bennett, who has helped elevate UVA into the national elite. Bennett picked up his seventh NCAA Tournament win at Virginia in the process, which broke his tie with Jeff Jones for second all-time in the program. Terry Holland leads the pack with 15 victories in the tourney. Overall, Bennett owns a 10-6 record in seven NCAA Tournament appearances.

The Cavaliers can advance to the Sweet 16 for the third time in four years with a win against Florida on Saturday. The Hoos and Gators tip off at approximately 8:40 p.m. at the Amway Center.

Before that game arrives, the Double Bonus is back to take a final look at UNC Wilmington.
