The curtains closed on college basketball season Monday night with North Carolina taking home the title. For Virginia, the season ended in the round of 32 with a loss to Florida and a trio of transfers soon followed.

Still, the Cavaliers pieced together their fifth straight season with at least 23 wins as they finished 23-11. The also won an NCAA Tournament game for the fourth straight year. Along the way, senior London Perrantes scored his 1,000th career point, UVA retired Malcolm Brogdon’s number, and the team took down eventual National Champion UNC.

So how did the season stack up to preseason questions? It’s time to revisit 10 questions that faced Tony Bennett’s team before the season to evaluate how it played out. (Click for preseason Part I and Part II.)

10. Can the Hoos remain near the top of the ACC heap?

In the three previous seasons, Virginia had piled up 89 wins with a pair of 30-win seasons in the bank. That helped the Hoos outright win or share the ACC Regular Season Championship twice and it led to Sweet Sixteen and Elite Eight appearances in the NCAA Tournament. The challenge for this year’s team was to try to maintain success and to try to stay in contention atop the ACC without Brogdon, Mike Tobey, Evan Nolte, and Anthony Gill.
