It looked like a massive mismatch on paper between the already crowned ACC Regular Season Champion and the winless last place league team. That’s exactly how the Virginia basketball team’s trip to Pittsburgh played out on the court too. The Cavaliers led for the entire game, held the Panthers to just seven first-half points, and rolled to the 66-37 victory Saturday.

The win put UVA in an interesting scenario for this week. The Hoos can close out a perfect ACC road record at Louisville on Thursday. If they win there, then they can attempt to better the 16-2 ACC record from Tony Bennett’s other regular season title seasons.

Before all of that plays out, however, the Double Bonus is back to look at the Pittsburgh win.

Post Scoring

The Virginia post players have put together a solid six-game string for the Hoos. Looking at the stretch from the Syracuse road game through the Pitt road game, the UVA trio of Isaiah Wilkins, Jack Salt, and Mamadi Diakite have made 62.7% of their field goal attempts (37-59) to average 13.7 points per game. Of the 18 game slots (six for each player), there has only been one scoreless outing and just four sub-50% shooting outings.
