More than a year has passed since that night in Charlotte. That night when Virginia became a historic footnote in NCAA Tournament history, branded with the Golden letters U-M-B-C.
Those letters have followed the Cavaliers from their stunning NCAA Tournament loss, the first No. 1 seed to lose to No. 16 seed, through the offseason, through the preseason, through the regular season all the way back to March. Rivals reveled in it. Twitter had it on loop.
