The Virginia basketball team completed a regular season sweep of Miami with a 74-71 win Saturday. The road victory secured a winning record in ACC play for the 11th straight season under Tony Bennett. The Cavaliers had 11 such seasons combined under their previous four coaches. The Double Bonus returns for a closer look at the latest win.

Kihei Clark – Two Milestones

During the victory, Kihei Clark checked off two personal achievements. He became the 50th Cavalier to score 1,000 points in their career. He also Othell Wilson for sixth place on UVA’s career assist list with 496.

Clark finished with 17 points and 5 assists to reach those marks. It’s the 48th time in his career that Clark scored in double figures with 46 of those coming over the last three seasons. That includes double digits in six of the last eight games. When he’s scoring and dishing, that’s when he’s at his best for the Hoos. Miami was one of his best games in that regard.

Over the course of his career, those 48 double-digit scoring performances have been paired with 5+ assists in 28 games. This represented the seventh time this season that he’s done it: Providence (10-5), Lehigh (11-7), Iowa (15-5), Syracuse (17-8), Louisville (15-5), Notre Dame (12-6), and Miami (17-5). The first time he did it in his career is worth mentioning too because it came during the NCAA Tournament run to the title. Clark posted 12 points and 6 assists in the victory against Oregon.
