Virginia Basketball Double Bonus: Wake Forest

The Virginia basketball team secured a big road victory at Wake Forest last weekend, 76-67. That sent the Hoos into a break in their schedule before hosting Boston College on Saturday at noon.

UVA currently stands at 15-3 overall and 7-2 in the ACC thanks the win at Wake. The Cavaliers made 15 3-pointers with five players knocking down multiple shots from behind the arc. Armaan Franklin scored 25 points with 5 3’s, while Isaac McKneely added 11 with 3 3’s. Kihei Clark, Ben Vander Plas, and Reece Beekman all made 2 3’s each.

Virginia 3-Point Numbers

The Hoos used a good 3-point shooting night to win at Wake Forest as they made 15 of 34 attempts. That 44.1% was above the current season percentage of 38.8%. Those 34 attempts were part of 60 total shot attempts in the game, meaning UVA had a 3-point volume rate of 56.7%. That’s way above the current season rate of 39.5% and ahead of the national leader’s rate of 54.3% for the season as well.
