The Virginia basketball team finished its season with a 25-8 record, marking the sixth time with at least that many wins in the Tony Bennett era. The Hoos had a share of the ACC Regular Season Championship, a runner-up finish in the ACC Tournament, and an early upset exit in the NCAA Tournament.

Each year before the season starts, there are questions that help frame the upcoming campaign. Here are this year’s 10 Preseason Questions. Once the season wraps up, it’s always good to revisit how those potential storylines unfolded.

10. Can Virginia Return To The NCAA Tournament?

After missing the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2013 in 2022, the Hoos brought back many of their major rotation players for another run at it in 2023. The preseason thought here was simple: getting into the Big Dance was set as the floor and the expectation for UVA this season.
