The Sampler returns for a look back at The South’s Oldest Rivalry, though, like many of Virginia’s chief rivals, North Carolina took firm control of the series of late. The UVA football team, after all, has not defeated UNC since 2009, a string that reached seven games with the Tar Heels’ 35-14 win Saturday.
