The Virginia football team is gearing up for the first Spring Game of the Tony Elliott era on Saturday. The Blue-White Game is scheduled to kick off at 4 p.m. and will be televised by the ACC Network.

While the players have had scrimmages this spring, they are excited to play in an actual game format in front of Hoo fans for the first time in a number of years.

“Everybody’s super excited,” UVA tight end Grant Misch said. “We haven’t really had a real Spring Game around here so having a real one, I think fans are super excited for Coach Elliott’s new era, I think it will be a really good time. A lot of energy. I think it will be fun.”

With a new coaching staff working to build the program’s foundation under Coach Elliott and players needing reps in a game setting with the new schemes, it’s an invaluable opportunity to get on the field in front of a crowd.
