The Virginia football team will play its second prime time ESPN game of the season when it takes on ACC Coastal Division foe Georgia Tech on a Thursday night in Atlanta. The contest on Oct. 20 kicks off the second half of the schedule for the Hoos.

Before the teams squared off last season, the Yellow Jackets were 3-3 and had defeated No. 21 North Carolina, 45-22. However, the Cavaliers put this game out of reach after a Ra’Shaun Henry receiving touchdown. A pair of garbage-time scores made the score look closer than it actually was.

After the UVA win, it all came crashing down for Georgia Tech. This loss was the first of six straight to end the season. It puts Geoff Collins in a tough spot heading into a fourth season where the team must see improvement. Three straight three-win seasons does not bode well for any fan base, and Collins has to find answers soon if he wants to stay at “The Flats.”
