Tony Muskett Settles In With Virginia Football

Tony Muskett arrived at Virginia in January as a someone who already had played a lot of college football and already led a college locker room. As a new guy in the room, though, he didn’t know how long it would take to settle in with his new team.

The answer: not long.

With the Cavaliers now through spring practices and focused on the next offseason phase, Muskett quickly established himself as a respected voice in the room and as a contender for the starting quarterback job. UVA will take that competition into fall camp when two-sport standout Jay Woolfolk joins the mix in full, but Muskett no longer looks like an outsider feeling his way through after almost four months in the program.

Whether that’s in natural growth as a leader or more familiarity with the scheme, Muskett sounded pleased with his progress this spring.
