With the ACC Football Kickoff underway in Charlotte, the march toward the 2024 season has begun. The Virginia football team will get its day with the media on Tuesday before it opens preseason camp at the end of July. The Hoos open against Richmond on Saturday, August 31 at Scott Stadium at 6 p.m.
The tight end position is one that may not be at the forefront of discussions in the summer months. Virginia features a blend of older and younger names at that spot, though perhaps only one that unexpectedly returned for the upcoming season is highly familiar to many.
Still, the staff prioritized the tight end position in the transfer portal so the coaches clearly see it as an important part of the ongoing rebuild efforts. Let’s continue the The Sabre Summer Reading Series with the players this group.
