August 31 at Scott Stadium is rapidly approaching, but as of now Virginia is letting its biggest question of fall camp still hang out there. Who will start at quarterback against Richmond?

Even if Tony Elliott and staff are close to a decision between Tony Muskett and Anthony Colandrea, the Cavaliers have not tipped their hand.

“I’m hopeful that as we get through this week, in fairness to whoever it is, will at least have a week to prep as a starter,” Elliott said on Monday night, the final practice open to the media of fall camp. “But we’re going to have some tough conversations with all of our personnel over the next couple of days.”

Offensive coordinator Des Kitchings says game preparation for the Spiders will begin in earnest on Thursday leading into game week one of the college football season. Muskett and Colandrea will likely continue splitting reps as they have all fall camp until UVA shifts into game week mode, according to Kitchings.
